Why resellers watermark their photos

Good listing photos take work — and other sellers know it. Photo theft is common on resale platforms: someone copies your shots to sell the same (or a fake) item, or a scammer reuses them entirely. A visible watermark with your shop name makes your photos far less useful to thieves and signals to buyers which listing is the real one. For the strongest protection, use a tiled watermark, which can't simply be cropped off.

Watermark and protect in one step

Because the watermarked photo is re-saved in your browser, its hidden GPS coordinates and camera metadata are removed at the same time — so the same photo that's protected from theft also won't leak your home address. Nothing is uploaded; everything happens on your device.

FAQ

How do I add a watermark to my photos?+
Type your shop name or @handle, choose where it goes (corner, center, or tiled across the image), then drop your photos. The watermark is applied instantly and you can download — all in your browser.
Why should resellers watermark listing photos?+
Other sellers sometimes copy your photos to list the same item — or scammers reuse them. A visible watermark with your shop name discourages theft and helps buyers find your real listing.
Does a tiled watermark protect better?+
Yes. A single corner watermark is easy to crop out; a tiled (repeated) watermark across the whole image is much harder to remove, at the cost of being more visible over your product.
Does this remove location data too?+
Yes. Re-saving the image strips GPS and camera EXIF metadata automatically, so your watermarked photo also won't reveal where you live.
Is it free and private?+
Completely free, no signup. Your photos are watermarked entirely in your browser and never uploaded to any server.
